David R. Maracle is an entrepreneurial First Nations artist, musician & business owner of Native Expressions & the LiL CroW Native Arts Centre on the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory. David’s ambient Flute music is internationally acclaimed, his albums have gone gold globally and he has won many music awards for his compilations. He has played many prestigious venues including the Sydney Olympics in 2000, and for the Senate on the Queen’s Jubilee visit to Canada. He is also world-renown for his magnificent stone sculptures that facilitate teachings of First Nations heritage and pride. Some of his art pieces sit with corporate collectors, including Ontario Power Generation, Pequot Museum & Research Centre in Connecticut; famous dignitaries such as Nelson Mandela, Emperor of Japan; famous people such as Dan Akroyd, Loretta Lynn to name a few. He received first prize for his carving entitled Gathering of Minds at the world prestigious Heard Museum in Scottsdale Arizona. David has released his new album entitled Spirit World, which features the Iroquoian love flute, the hang drum from Switzerland the guzheng from China and many more exotic world instruments.
